More on Ju
lian Higgins:
Julian Higgins is a Los Angeles-based writer and director, and proud Emerson grad. Born and raised in New Hampshire, he caught the filmmaking bug in seventh grade and went on to earn a BFA in Film from Emerson and an MFA in Directing from the world-famous American Film Institute.

His AFI thesis film, THIEF, won the 2011 Student Academy Award, Student Emmy Awards for Best Directing and Best Drama, and two dozen other prizes from more than fifty festivals around the world.

On the strength of the film, Emmy-winning producer-director Greg Yaitanes invited Julian to shadow him during the final season of the acclaimed television drama HOUSE. That mentorship by Yaitanes led to Julian's television directing debut – at the age of 26 -- with the episode entitled "Blowing the Whistle."

Currently, Julian is developing both short and feature film projects, in addition to pursuing further television directing work. His latest short, HERE AND NOW, starring Abigail Spencer and Josh Pence, will hit the festival circuit in 2014. Julian is represented by ICM Partners and is a proud member of the Directors Guild of America.
