Kris Mattera is a social media professional in the higher education industry, splitting her time as an adjunct professor of “The Business of Digital Media” at Suffolk University and her role as a social and digital marketer for MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning; the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences; and the MIT Arts Initiatives. Kris graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in graphic design and multimedia studies (a cross-disciplinary program uniting art, design, music and technology with foundations in narrative and interactive digital communication). Additionally, she has a M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication from Emerson College. Kris has worked as a graphic designer and account manager, both for a boutique digital agency and as an independent freelancer. Her experience spans social media strategy and community management, and client roster has included The Ritz-Carlton, Canon and Boloco. Kris enjoys sharing her knowledge with others as both a professor and as a marketer.
