| This landmark musical stars Gene Kelly as a brash ex-G.I. who stays in Paris to paint after the war and finds himself torn between his chic benefactress (Nina Foch) and an enchanting mademoiselle (Leslie Carson). Directed by the incomparable Vincente Minnelli and featuring several of George and Ira Gershwin's most memorable songs, this timeless classic culminates in a stunning 17 1/2-minute ballet sequence that is widely regarded as MGM's masterpiece.
The screening will be introduced by Mark Griffin '90 author of A Hundred or More Hidden Things: The Life and Films of Vincente Minnelli.
